Which services do you offer?

Kensington Housekeeping focuses on residential homes: recurring housekeeping, one-time cleaning, deep cleaning and move-in & move-out cleaning.

If what you need doesn't fit neatly into one of these, describe it in your quote request and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can take on.

How does requesting a quote work?

Fill in the quote form with a few details about your home and what you're looking for. It takes about two minutes.

Your request comes to us directly. We review it and follow up by email or phone to ask any questions, talk through scope and timing, and give you a quote. Nothing is booked or charged until you've agreed to it.

Can I set up recurring visits?

Yes, recurring housekeeping is the arrangement many households prefer. On the quote form you can say how often you'd like visits, such as weekly, every two weeks or monthly, and we'll discuss what works for your home and our schedule.

How are prices determined?

Every home is different, so we quote each one individually rather than publishing a flat rate. The main factors are the size of the home, the type of cleaning, how often visits happen, and the home's current condition.

The more detail you share in your request, the more accurate our first estimate can be.

What information do you need for a quote?

The basics: the type of home, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, your ZIP code, the service you're interested in and how often. An approximate square footage helps if you know it.

Notes about pets, priorities or access are welcome but optional. We never ask for payment details in the quote form.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

This is something we'll confirm with you when we follow up on your request. If you have preferences, such as fragrance-free or specific products for certain surfaces, mention them in your notes and we'll talk them through.

How should I prepare my home?

No deep preparation is needed. That's our job. It helps if counters and floors are reasonably clear of personal items so time goes into cleaning rather than moving things, and if anything fragile or valuable is put away or pointed out.

Let us know about any rooms that are off-limits, or surfaces that need special care, such as natural stone or unsealed wood.

Can we discuss scheduling preferences?

Of course. The quote form asks for a preferred date and time of day, which gives us a starting point. Submitting a request doesn't reserve a time. We'll confirm availability with you directly when we follow up.

I have pets. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Please mention them in your request: what kind of animals, whether they'll be home during visits, and anything we should know, such as a gate to keep closed. It also helps us plan for pet hair.

Do I need to be home during a visit?

That's up to you. Some clients prefer to be home; others arrange access in advance. We'll agree on an arrangement you're comfortable with before the first visit.

Tell us about your home.

Share a few details and we'll follow up personally to talk through what you need. A request commits you to nothing.
